The credential for professionals who deliver projects that perform against people, planet and prosperity — not just scope, schedule and budget. Grounded in the P5™ Standard and aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Project and programme managers in sectors where sustainability, resilience and reporting shape delivery · professionals in organizations embedding sustainability into strategy or governance · development-sector and infrastructure project leaders · consultants advising on sustainable delivery · anyone connecting project decisions to measurable ESG impact.
Sustainability has moved from a nice-to-have to a delivery requirement: funders, regulators and enterprise reporting frameworks now judge projects on environmental, social and economic impact alongside the traditional constraints. The CSPP™ — offered by PMI with GPM — certifies the ability to embed sustainability into project governance, planning and delivery, grounded in the P5™ Standard and aligned to the UN SDGs. This programme prepares candidates on either the certified- or non-certified-practitioner pathway.
PMI offers two pathways:
Requirements are set by the awarding body, not by Paraklete Institute. We review your circumstances before you commit.
Both require completion of the sustainability training before the exam, delivered through the CSPP™ Exam Prep Course or an authorized training partner. The exact criteria distinguishing the two pathways, and the exam format, are confirmed with you during advisor review.
Renewal note: CSPP must be renewed every three years. The PDUs earned also count toward renewal of other PMI certifications you may hold (PMP®, CAPM®, PgMP®, PfMP® and more).
Sustainable project management across the lifecycle:

It depends on your existing credentials and education. The certified-practitioner pathway needs 12 training hours; the non-certified needs 20. The Advisor Clarity Call confirms your pathway before you commit.
Beyond the credential itself, the PDUs you earn count toward your PMP renewal, so it does double duty. And sustainability capability is increasingly a competitive requirement in bids and funding.
