Construction and PMO

PMI-CP™ Construction Professional Preparation

The PMI credential built specifically for construction — contracts, interfaces, communication, scope and change on real built-environment projects.

  • Purpose-built for construction: not generic project management relabeled
  • Covers the discipline areas PMI's construction credential assesses: contracts and commercial management, interface management, communication, scope and change
  • For engineers, quantity surveyors, architects, contract managers and infrastructure professionals

Who this programme is for

Civil, structural and services engineers · construction and site managers · quantity surveyors and contract/commercial managers · architects moving into delivery leadership · public-works and infrastructure professionals · engineering and built-environment lecturers seeking an industry-recognized credential.

Construction projects fail differently from IT projects — through interfaces, claims, contract ambiguity and change management at scale. The PMI-CP™ is PMI's credential for professionals who deliver built-environment work, and this programme prepares candidates through construction-specific case study work rather than generic project theory.

Frequently asked questions

Is this different from PMP?

Yes. PMP is general project management; PMI-CP™ is PMI's construction-specific credential, assessed through built-environment disciplines such as contracts, interfaces and change.

Do I need to be a project manager by title?

No — engineers, quantity surveyors, contract managers and site leaders all deliver construction projects. The Advisor Clarity Call reviews your profile.

Is passing guaranteed?

No — same policy as every programme.

The PMI-CP™ examination and certification are administered by the Project Management Institute, Inc. Paraklete Institute provides examination preparation and does not issue the PMI-CP™ credential or guarantee examination success.
